We all know of the Holocaust, the terrible atrocities committed by the Nazis against Jews, various ethnic groups, homosexuals, political prisoners and other groups not of their liking.
We know about it, but there's a vast difference between having taken in information and actually realizing the gravity of it.
I've been websearching the Holocaust and two things particularly moved me. One is an eyewitness account of a Holocaust surviver who spent a year of his life in the death camp Treblinka. Its a 40 page document I've attached to this post. Definitely worth the read, for those interested in what it was like, for one man who has been there.
The other thing is a 49 minute film shot by the Allies in 1945 that documents the extent of the atrocities they found when they liberated the concentration camps, and which served as evidence in the Nuremberg Trials. The 6 reels of the original evidence film is chopped up into 7 parts on youtube, and I attached them below. It is without a doubt the most graphic and shocking footage I have ever seen.
I have attached it below.
WARNING: both the .pdf and the film footage is extremely graphic, for most it will be uncomfortable to watch. I think however that for a better understanding, for those who seek it, it is good to be informed, even if it is unpleasant.
Let's keep this thread dignified.
If we forget the past, there will be no future.

speaking of atrocities, looks like you broke out of your tard restraints and got to a computer again.
the holocaust happened 50+ years ago. everyone has already masturbated to all the footage. unless you have some unreleased demos from hitler's avant garde trip-hop band that did a bunch of hank williams covers, please post something new. thanks.
now wait for the abuse of power and deletion of this post.
I've seen the Allied film several times. It's a very good reminder of why one has to keep a close eye on one's government and stand up for what one believes...

Indeed, but not just on a governmental level but also deeper, it tells things about human nature itself.
It happened sixty years ago yes, but these are people like you and me. It by no means has lost its relevance, and sad to say it will happen again in some form or another if we don't learn from the past and, like Papaver says, sit by and let it happen.
