if you don't like the 80's and 90's sound, then definitely check out the shows I linked to earlier

Wow ok, so i've been able to listen to quite a considerable amount of the albums i got. And at first i thought y'all we're just huge grateful dead and jerry fans. and you know how some jam band fans/hippies just aren't the best judge of music sometimes. so i thought ok.. well there's a lot i'm nto gonna like, i guess i'll have to listen for myself.
goddamn! was i wrong!
The Almost Acoustic album is fucking GREAT and the Compliments Jerry Garcia album is great too. I don't think i'l be able to listen to anything else for a little while now. Just thought i'd thank you guys again for awesome input. Jerry is showering his happiness and good nature all over me right now, and it feels wonderful!

You should definitely download some shows from www.archive.org. Some of my favorites are cornell '77 (scarlet begonas-> fire on the mountain is one of my favorite songs of all time ) I'm also a really big fan of the fillmore east show on 06/07/70 they play an acoustic set first and then an electric set. Also another cd you should check out is europe '72. Chinacat on that album was the song that made me fall in love with the Grateful Dead
