you see how I got them jars in the bottom left corner? Those worked perfect.
easy, over the top with foil,
but then around with Press-n-Seal
This method is for those that are "Guerilla Growing" like myself,
using jars from recycling bins with no lids.
if you have ANY jar or bottle or coffee cup,
ANYTHING! you just wrap it like so,
two layers of RENOLDs WRAP. then around with the blue freezer pressin seal. just make sure the foil goes all the way around, 1/2 way down.
...
problem solved.

anything you can pour "The Mix" into will work.
(yes this includes liqour bottles, beer bottles, Champagne,
Snapple, and my personal invention, a goldschlager bottle... just watch. I'll have pics soon.

yeah i caught that. After reading the thread subject, I opened it expecting some sort of sterile way to dry out your sub if water found a way in during sterilization, then I got whatever the hell that was.
Either way, he is hiding, so the point i wanted to make was:
the only way to get a cake out of a liquor bottle is to break it. you mentioned money being a reason for using the bottle in the first place. i'd like to point out that your one time $30 liquor bottle is waaay more expensive than my re-usable $6 case of 12 quart jars. Still, he is right on that it would be pretty cool if you could grow 'em in liquor bottles invitro, to have the little mushrooms just chilling behind the liquor label would look pretty cool. but you would have to use grain, and you can forget the dry verm protective layer, as you would have to leave enough room in the jars to grow invitro, meaning you wouldn't be able to fill the jar up.
That's your homework, schlager. Grow/post pics of invitro mushies in a liquor bottle, maybe with a little light coming from behind the bottle to accent the mushroom. Good luck.
