I have to admit... 13 has never been bad to me. Ive always had really good friday the 13ths. Strange, huh?

13 was made "unlucky" by a patriarchal society because it symbolizes the sacred feminine. The lunar calendar has 13 months, while the solar calendar has 12.

13 is neither lucky or unlucky. It just means that something significant is attached to what it is related to.
I picked lucky though.

Not being a superstitious person, I agree. More importantly, how fucking ridiculous (in a good way) is wikipedia? I didn't know they had whole pages about numbers. Every single one of them!
On that note.. I'm gonna check when the list ends.

Damn.. After about 1000, the list breaks up, and not all numbers are included.
The largest number I could attempt to wrap my head around was a googelplex, but there is a larger one, called Graham's Number, the largest number ever used in a mathematical proof.

On the subject of crazy numbers and shit... I fell upon the hypercube page in wiki...

Ok, so i understand that you manipulate the dot so you can see the line, and then make the line so you can see the square, and then the square to see a cube... but how do you manipulate the cube to form a tesseract? I cant figure it out in my head.

I am not normally a superstitious person and used to laugh about people being scared of the number 13. Events in my life have changed that feeling. Friday the 13th has never been bad for me either. (other than the fact that my mother married my stepfather on a Fri the 13th and he ended up being horribly abusive to us)
But a man was in my life for awhile who identified with the number had it in every tattoo and was really horrible to me. Needless to say our relationship ended very badly (stalking me, threats, all that kind of crap)
So about a year later I had a miscarriage on the 13th of the month and when I saw the death certificate they had put the time of death at 1:13 pm.(military time it would be 1313) Still didn't think anything of it. When I went to spread my daughters ashes on a nearby mountaintop, right after I had finished spreading them I looked down and there was a marker (for planes or helicopters or something) in concrete on the ground and that number was 13! That kind of spooked me. So I am not afraid of the number per se, but have a healthy respect for it and if I have the option of choosing a 12, 13 or 14 in anything I stick with another number.

13 is lucky, It's the number of full moons (months) in a lunar year....(Maya, Chinese and many other cultures calenders)
It's the number of the archaic ancient world of entheogenic spirituality...
