Ehhh... I've read several research papers about this subject. Apparently if you've taken LSD and drink, the trip will be lessened big time(somewhere around 80% of subjects reported a weaker trip). It doesn't work the same with shrooms... about 60% of people say that the trip is less intense after drinking.
The only reason I'll drink when I'm tripping is if the trip is turning bad and I can't manage to bring myself back to a happy place. I've found it's a great way to "abort" a bad trip.

Hmm after reading that, I dont think I'll drink much while tripping anymore, lol. After thinking about it, when I did drink and trip the trip was fairly mild, but I just unattributed it to tolerance. Now it looks like it may have been a combination.

probably, although i know a few crazy asses that love to get HAMMERED while they are on mushrooms and they don't seem to have weaker trips...idk though, when i think about the ones i know that do this they are all sort of tools...they are probably just acting to seem funny or something...
who knows though i guess...
when i took those swigs of early times on LSD i was already about an hour into the comedown, but i definitely didn't notice it help to bring me down quicker...it was just a HORRIBLE taste like i said..haha
on st. patty's day i was tripping on LSD with a couple friends and one of them downed a good portion of a 5th of jameson whiskey with a few giant gulps...he said that after he put the bottle down it felt like he was the most fucked up he had ever been in his entire life...he said everything just went crazy, but only for about a minute and then he was back to trippin like normal...

all the times ive eaten acid or shrooms and drank, the alcohol generally overpowered the trip, however this was only on maybe one tab or two tabs tops, and maybe 2g...last time i ate acid i was already piss drunk around 2am and my roommates all said "lets eat some tabs..." and I ended up having a great time, however I remember very little of the first 5 or so hours of the trip. I'd say you have to drink and trip, use moderation, definitely no more than a 6 pack if you have decent tolerance to alcohol.

It's not my thing. Maybe I'll have a glass of white wine, but that's about it. OTOH, I have a friend who loves to get drunk first, so when the alcohol wears off, he'll be catapulted into the full peak.

I'm a drinker. Beer is really my drug of choice on most nights.
Having a few brews while coming up tends to make the trip more euphoric/social for me, so I rarely trip without a beer or two.
