DALLAS -- Drug Enforcement Administration officials said they are investigating why marijuana is growing behind their building. A DEA pilot was flying over their Dallas building near Northwest Highway and Technology Boulevard when he spotted more than 325 marijuana plants in the forest. “We’ve been back through these forests way back through the other side,” witness Robert Dorazil said. “I mean, you don’t even know you’re in Dallas.”
Officials said agents checked the plants for booby traps before uprooting them for investigation. They needed Dallas firefighters to help them remove the nearly 400 pounds of pot because of the water level behind the building. “The only way you could get there was by boat and we just had some boats where we could ferry them back and forth to make sure they could pick up the marijuana they were searching for,” Dallas fire Lt. Joel Lavendar said. Investigators said they think someone intentionally put the plants there. Officials estimated the value of the plants to be worth nearly $286,000 on the street.

ha. 400lbs of pot does not ''accidentally'' appear.
I bet they were purposely growing it so they could put it back on the streets and bust more people

wow, i grew up in dallas and this is really the heart of the city... makes me wonder how many plants are in the other of dallas's many heavily wooded areas. I remember we used to have keg parties out on a field off of 635, a long ravine ran through that field and plants could have been easily cultivated along its banks. shame too, as im sure all of the dallas stoners would have appreciated a good quantity of mid grade outdoor.
