I doubt I got ripped off, because I bought it from Daisy Mart, and it was packaged by a company, I didn't get it from a dealer or anything... I'm going to go pick up some more today and try again.

Gilbert you seem not to be understanding something here.. 40X extract will knock god on his fucking ass ... When you first try salvia and you do 40X and nothing happens Something is terribly wrong.I am a salvia expert ........................

I would suggest either holding it in much much longer and seeing if it makes the difference or trying a different supplier i get mine from www.iamshaman.com they have good shit

I can't order anything of off the internet or anything, so my only options are Daisy Mart, or a dealer, and I don't know any dealers who sell Salvia, so I have to go to Daisy Mart. I can't remember the company's name, but the 40x was called "Horse Killer" if that helps? It also came with a 10x free sample of "Island Smog," which I smoked as well. There's no doubt I got high, but I wasn't experiencing anything that Salvia's known for, or anything similar that I've read about in my research. I'm going to smoke some more soon, in a water bong, and I'll hold it in a lot longer and hopefully that'll allow me to "breakthrough" or at least get farther than I did yesterday. Should I re-buy some more 40x, or get some 60x and try that?

Maybe you could try smoking in a simple pipe or in a cigarette instead of a water bong?

I'll try smoking some in a bong tonight, and a pipe later in the week. If I don't breakthrough by then, I'll buy from somewhere else and try that.

I had a laughing fit on Salvia once because my friend, who was supposed to be loading the bowl after each hit, dropped the pipe and spilled the Salvia after my 2nd hit. I started to get mad at him, but then the effects suddenly hit me and the absurdity of having gotten angry thinking I didn't get enough (and seeing his confused face) caused me to laugh through the whole thing. I distinctly remember being disconnected as I was laughing though.
If a breakthrough experience means you see something profoundly new or different that changes you then you can definitely have one while laughing (or *doing* anything). When it comes to human nature, it's nearly impossible to make exclusionary or restrictive generalizations (e.g. such and such cannot be a breakthrough), especially by saying outward behavior X cannot imply inward experience Y.

Only one person should be high at a time.
The dose should be as small as will fit into a bowl. By this I mean minuscule, tiny, the tiniest amount you can get in there. This is smoked retained for one minute or so. If one is not high enough one takes roughly the same amount as before at this time.
This repeats until one finds the comfortable amount of immersion.
The alternative is to be massively hit by the salvia truck and likely be left reeling.

I'm going to take Leery's advice tonight, I'm making a bong and will fill the chamber with a small amount, inhale, exhale, lay back and watch. If I'm not satisfied I'll rinse and repeat. If I'm not satisfied by the time I'm out of Sally D, I'll smoke a joint & try again later in the week

Do you guys think that the laughter is really a defense against a breakthrough?
Because my first salvia experience was outside with a few friends, it went like this. I took a hit... not much happened, a minute later i felt really tingly, then I was pulled to the left an incredible amount so much that i held onto my friend as I literally had my body dragged back (by myself it was strange) and then the laughter came... I was literally rolling on the ground laughing my ass off... but no one was doing anything funny. Then I sat up and believed I had the ability to see into the future but at the same time knew that I wasn't, holding those contradictory thoughts was strange. I didnt have any visual or audio hallucinations at all though. My next 10 experiences consisted of ONLY audio hallucinations, no OEVs or CEVs at all, and no laughing or gravity, just audio hallucinations of a woman calling me to her. The most recent was a completely different state of mindI held this different state of mind contradicting to what I knew as reality. I felt as if I was in kindergarden at recess and the bell rang, that same "Lady Salvia" was telling me to hurry up and soon after she said that it ended.
I have tried to interpret what she said to me and I wonder if she told me to hurry back to reality or hurry up and take more salvia so I could come inside (the audio trip ended before I got inside the school, mind you this was all audio with quick flashes of visions less than half a second every few minutesS) but perhaps the "school" is the salvia-space breakthrough land and the school also represents learning about myself?
Also, I was smoking 1/4g 20x from a headshop, could this 20x have been a ripoff and not actually 20x? I smoked 1/2g 10x my first time and 1/4g the next 13 times with no breakthrough, I have seen "Purple sticky" in some stores, is it legitimate?

i don't think laughter is a defense against breakthrough.
while it is true that the easy gentle slide into another world will seem to be sequentially positive, sequential memory is disrupted.
Note that cause and effect are not determinable if the sequence is reversed or mixed up.
when moments last longer than usual, and some fade earlier the impression of the reversal of time is very likely.
Many experience deja vu which is exactly this.
(someone can peak, then laugh, then peak again, then laugh again - the timeline is not a guaranteed thing)
In short, all I can say is that moments will be bufferred and this will cause a raft of effects ranging from
the body seeming to meld with walls and furniture or
merely to stretch in strange ways.
It is amazing to see what the layers of time do to vision and to thought as well.
breaking through is not a great description for level 4 and 5 in which time gets folded in various ways. of course level 6, amnesia, totally wipes out a middle section and in that way a "break" truly exists but it is not one worth aspiring towards.
