 shroomery cookbook project....

i think we should make a shroomery cookbook. i have no idea how we'd go about this, possibly starting with recipes that have already been posted and making an archive of them in this forum.
possibly submitting recipes and if one or more people comes back having tried it saying it's good it can be added and after we have enough recipes print them in a book and sell the shroomery cookbook in the store..
I dunno, i just thought theres some really brilliant culinary minds around here, plus we could probably write one hell of a chapter on cooking with or favorite substances (although thats not the focus of the book, but definitely a big part of our lives so a necessary chapter or section, as edible mushrooms would be).
i think it'd be really cool, i'd be willing to work on it as i'm sure at least some other people would be.. has this idea ever come up before? everyone here could contribute from our different cultures, experiences, knowledge and skills. culinary enthusiasts could contribute delicious recipes, artists form the site could work on art for the book. maybe someone else here is a printer and would be willing to help with making the books at a discounted rate or something. we are a community from all over the world i'd love to learn some cool dishes from my friends in other cultures, and i'm sure i'm not alone....

so I've decided i really like this idea, whether or not everyone else does so i'm just gonna act on it. I'm not sure how it'll turn out but i want to at least start a list of recipes here at the shroomery (in link form). i don't care if it ever makes print or not an actual recipe archive would be just as useful. I love to cook and I know there are plenty of others here that are the same and have a few recipes worth sharing.

I'm not sure of the format for organization yet as i've only gone as far as to link to 15 recipes so far. any and all recipes are appreciated if anyone is really interested in helping with this project please shoot me a pm. anyone can help though simply by posting links to recipes that have been posted here at the shroomery in the link i provided...
please do not copy and paste from other sites.... UNLESS you've tried it and modified it (even a little), or it was just too damn good not to have in this collection (exceptions are things like recipes for pot that can be found all over the net at hightimes and such, pot recipes are very welcome in the list as they most definitely deserve a section IMO...)

yes anno, i'm aware of the recipe section in the front site, but the fact of the matter is no one submits things (i've submitted a few), and most members don't actually goto the main site and instead spend their time here on the boards...
I plan on spending some time tomorrow digging up recipes from the site, i think it'd be far more useful to have a thread with links to every recipe that is added here or a culinary subforum similar to mush cult archive, where only approved recipes make the cut.. aside from all that though i still like to fancy myself with the idea of an actual physical cookbook that could be sold in the shroomery store, i'd use a physical cookbook more than i'd come here looking for recipes....
obviously with about 10 years of posts to dig through (i dunno how long culinary forum has been around) this project isn't going to happen overnight, but i really would like to make something like this happen...

i was going to work on the list of recipes today, but my laptop had lemonade spilled on it yesterday. it may be a few days before i can get it working again or get a new one... I'd use this computer but it sucks

thanks for the recipes so far... my computer is likely fucked from the lemonade incident, so it may be next week before i can start to do much with this... lets hope not.
