Spanish probably because it is very similar to English

Uhhh no it isn't. German and other germanic languages are similar to english. Spanish is like french and italian or other romance languages.
But you're right Spanish is the easiest spoken language (besides maybe esperanto) since it is phoenetic and has a fairly straight forward tenses and syntax. A lot of my relatives speak spanish and they say it's way easier than french.

a visual language is generally a lot easier to learn than a spoken one.

Why some rice farmers -- some rice eaters ran him out of Korea. Yes, they ran him out of Korea. Rice eaters with nothing but gym shoes, and a rifle, and a bowl of rice took him and his tanks and his napalm, and all that other action he's supposed to have and ran him across the Yalu. Why? 'Cause the day that he can win on the ground has passed.

depends on what kind of learner you are... id say the easiest to pick up is spanish for someone just learning their first language.
but for me, i took latin 1,2, and 3 before ever taking spanish.. so it was difficult for me to learn because they are taught very differently.. if ur good a memorizing things and like having hardfast rules in language, then latin is for you. but it takes work.

I'd say Spanish, German, then French.
I was silly and took latin in HS, now i've taken spanish in college... sooo much easier.
I'd say spanish is the easiest for someone native to English, but you should learn a language you WANT to learn. Don't learn it bc it's easy. Those listed above will be significantly easier than Russian or Chinese but yeah. my 2cents
