what isp do you use? Also, hunt through your music and upload some torrents it's a big help...though thats not something ive had to do yet

I'm at a university. I can upload very quickly. I don't have anything that hasn't been uploaded and I'm unconnectable so it doesn't matter.

I can't fix it. I have to use a client with protocol encryption or use a ssh tunnel to use bit torrent at all. When someone does connect to me their download speeds are the limiting factor. I can upload at nearly 1 mb/s.

Can you upload torrents to what.cd even if you're unconnectable in utorrent or whatever program you use? I didn't see anything on the FAQ/Rules pages.

the ratio thing can be a bitch if you can't get good uploads...being at college probably dosnt help...a few of my friends got in trouble for copyright infringement, some kid at my school even got sued by the RIAA

yes. i use utorrent and i'm unconnectable. the only problem when you're unconnectable is that other people that are unconnectable cannot connect to you, but connectable people can. did that make sense?

Yes. I already understood that. I just didn't know if they only allowed connectable people to upload torrents or not.

Heh, I generally am seeding a minimum of 50 torrents of which ~25% are my own personal uploads. Always start your "career" on a tracker with personal uploads and NEVER stop seeding those torrents. After a week or so start grabbing what you want and do not kill your seed until you've reached a minimum ratio of 5.0. At that rate your ratio will never be a problem for you.
Whenever a freeleech session is open grab absolutely everything you ever wanted and just let it all seed for a few weeks.
People with ratio problems escape me.

yeah, well on OiNK I felt a stellar ratio was somewhat difficult to maintain.
I mean on demonoid I had uploaded over 200gigs while OiNK had me at ~18gigs uploaded.
I would try and capitalize on new torrents with potential but ppl who had greater upload speeds reaped more than I ever was able to.

I recently got an invite to what.cd from one awesome shroomerite. Things have been awesome since I got in.
I just need an invite for my best friend. Im not a power user YET, but when I am...I'll give you back the invite or pass it on to another member of the shroomery.
