Norman woman arrested for mushroom cultivation

NORMAN — A Norman woman was arrested Thursday for an alleged connection to a residence-based hallucinogenic mushroom growing operation according to the Cleveland County sheriff’s department and the narcotics division of the Norman police department.
Deborah A. Kolch, 57, was taken into custody in the 1600 block of Dakota Street after the agencies served a search warrant on the property. Officials reported finding more that 24 pounds of “illegal fungus” in two bedrooms apparently converted to facilitate the growth of psilocybin mushrooms. A small amount of marijuana also was discovered in the home.
Kolch was taken the Cleveland County Detention Center and booked for cultivation of controlled dangerous substance; possession of CDS; distribution of CDS; possession within 1,000 feet of a school; and maintaining a house for the purpose of keeping or selling CDS.

No, I don't. I've only been to Norman a handful of times and didn't really drive around much while there.

This truly saddens me. A woman produces one of the oldest known connections to the forces that bind us all, and is thrown in with rapists and murderers. I don't believe justice exists anymore, if it ever did...

anyone that can't find shrooms in norman just isn't looking in the right spots. i don't live there but i know the town and it is mushroom heaven. lot's of weak bunky shit, though, too.

i was gonna say id bet anything that they didnt dry them 1st, and left them in the plastic baggies to rot, wouldnt that be some shit if they rotted away before they could prosecute.... all of their evidence gone. nice
my little brother lives in norman i called him he said he saw it and cried at the amount they took.

Very sickening. Finding the growth of a spiritual substance warrants persecution to be confined to a cage among murderers, theives, and rapists. Lovely morality we have today, isn't it?
