No pics, but there was a post or still is, about OYSTER SPAWN ON COW DUNG (or shit), awhile back. Attention; ANNO and others that thought this was improbable. This , as I said was grown in a 3 qt. container, layered 50/50, rye spawn, then 50/50 mixed 50 to 50 with cow manure from the store. It was let to cultivate for 3mnths popped in the refridge for 2 wks and brought to fruit like the same tek as sillies. So far produced 4 to 5 oz. of fruit. Heres a pic of 2nd flush. DELICIOUS!

It's getting kinda poor looking cause the first flush was so large. No cellulose was used in this process.

Great!
Btw, I didn?t say it?s improbable that you grow them on dung, but that?s usually not done.
>No cellulose was used in this process. What do you think cow dung consists of to a great part?

I wasn't quoting anybody. Sorry. If I recall I got a general feeling of that when I posted it way back. I think Its kinda cool though. As far as the cow shit this is the real black stuff from HDepot. Its more like soil instead of cow dung. You know.... I was real happy about that cause I can do big cases of that mixed with sawdust and get great results then. I have a window-well garden of shitake and oysters. Thats amazing spawn. Checked it the other day and its white about an inch down.
