 did Jim Morrison actually commit suicide?

I know he turned into a fat alcoholic and died of a heroin overdose in a bathtub in Paris, but was it really suicide or just accidental O.D?
I think it's a stupid question cause it's prob a mystery...
but want some opinions/facts anyway.

I'm sure Jim was aware of the consequences of his actions but I don't think he really wanted what happened to happen

i think it was accident i dont think he would want to kill himself he had a passion for his poetry but the drugs could have couldnt that like u said no one really kno but him....

In my mind it was a suicide. His girlfriend at the time reported he had died of a heroin overdose. ( She herself died of a heroin overdose a few years later.) The last entry in Jim's journal was "Last words, last words -- out."
The Doors drummer, John Densmore, wrote in 'Riders on the Storm' that he felt "that Morrison had taken heroin with a strong liquor, climbed into the bathtub, and committed suicide."
The death was not ruled a suicide because no autopsy was performed since the coroner did not suspect foul play. The official report was death due to heart failure. If you take a shitload of heroin your heart will shut down along with everything else.

Jim actually didn't like opiates as much as many of us and did not approve of his wifes use of it-- many believe-myself included- that he came in and snorted a line thinking it was blow and od'd and then his wife put him in the tub to change the time of death---she was having an affair and the heroin was her and her other lovers at the time I believe----
