The officer's troubles began with an April 2006 call to 911 where he told the operator he thought he was overdosing on marijuana.

You know, this is funny as hell, but there's a disturbing truth in that a police officer, of all people, is so misinformed about marijuana that he didn't know you can't overdose on it no matter how much you take.

Makes you wonder what other misinformation cops are being taught about drugs and why they're typically so disproportionately zealous about enforcing drug laws and marijuana laws in particular.

:mushroom2::mushroom2::mushroom2::mushroom2::mushroom2:for posting that mp3 link thallus.

Maybe someone can look up the county or city prosecutor for that area and we could write some emails demanding that charges be pressed against that guy. Prosecutors are supposed to work for the public so I bet a handful of emails would get charges pressed.

I wonder how many other people the prosecutor doesnt go after when they admit to possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) which is probably a felony, and theft of a controlled substance/tampering with physical evidence (which may also be a felony)...

I would be standing a city hall passing out fliers and calling for his resignation.

Side note: my former local county attorney had to resign after he was caught doing lines of coke in his office at the courthouse  I miss that guy. He was never prosecuted, and the bar really didnt do much too him other than make him take an NA class....great double standard, no? If any ordinary citizen would have been caught with drugs in the courthouse all hell would have fallen on them.
