Sometimes you just look at the wildlife...

Oh, well...
I went out today and the morels seem to have stopped coming up. There was only one to be found today.
Sometimes you just end up enjoying the wildlife. It's nice to have a hobby where a bad day is still better than most days doing most other things.
First there was this snake enjoying the sun...

Then this butterfly was cooperative and held still long enough for a portrait...

Happy mushrooming!

If i've learned anything from my first year of Morel hunting, i have learned that they like to grow where-ever and when-ever they damn well please.
I found my first two under a picnic table. And then another one was found in a clearcut.
I go out with the local mycological society this weekend on a foray so hopefully i'll find a few more before the season is done with.
I've heard stories this year of people finding 40 pounds on one hillside and wonder what i'm doing wrong. It takes some practice..
