So im wondering if the homemade hydroponic systems are just as good as the real ones? It would really save me alot of money and the principles behind alot of hydroponic systems are simple as far as I know?

I've never dealt with hydro but from my understanding they are not hard to make and homemade ones are just the same as store ones.

probably a little worse but if your handy it should still work. http://www.cannabinoid.com/boards/growing/media/64/64676.jpg basic picture of it. Of course growing with soil is much easier and cheaper, the plants grow a little slower and possibly smaller, you'll need some soil alternative, lights, nutrients, the website says it costs only 100 dollars to make your own inculding seeds i'd guess it's closer to 200 http://www.cannabinoid.com/boards/growing/media/64/64674.jpg. If it was me i'd search around alot in the internet to try to find the cheapest ones. Search ebay for hydroponic systems they have ebooks on building your own, and you can buy them for only a little more than cost to bulid that's what i'd do.

Whoever told you that is your enemy? I've got no patience now so sick of complacence now. know your enemy! Those who died are justified. we gotta take the power back! Some speak the sounds but speak in silent voices. transmissions bring submission. For Jesus blessed me with its future and I protect it with fire for it's the end of history. Sleep now in the fire! There's a right to obey and there's a right to kill. The jury's sleepless we found your weakness and it's right outside our door. Now testify." R.A.T.M

as long as you can handle tools you can build a perfectlly working hydro setup.
ebb/flow as well as drip systems are extremely easy to build and maintain and are very cheap. Just hit up youtube theres tons of people with dummy proof ways to build your own hydro setup

If your starting out, and are not that knowledgeable, buy one. For many things I say make your own, but depended on the style you go with you might want to buy. If you know what your doing, then you wouldn't ask kind of thing.
There are many many types of hydroponics. ebb and flow, top drip, coco teks, and even aeroponics.
Find one that you want to go with, E&F and top drips are very easy to set up and.
If you do want to build then it is fairly simple, first go to a hydro store and in cali that should be down the block. Talking with them you'll get an idea...

the easiest and cheapest hydro setup is a wick system. could be made in 5 minutes they work well as long as you dont need too many of them they need to be manually refilled daily though no big deal

I know what im doing and what im doing is asking for advice. I dont know of any logical reasons of why I wouldn't be able to assemble a static solution culture.
Now could you tell me why they cost so much fucking money if its such a simple concept.

I work at petsmart i am going to try making one myself. free air pumps, air line, stones, free water pumps, fish nets for pots (cut the handle part off, seems like all i need now is rock wool and some Fertilizer.
Could i use Seachem Flourite Plant Substrate it's for Aquarium plants but don't see why it would not work but i know nothing.
if and one would care to see it, I should have the stuff and have it ready to go by this weekend.

Make some easy flood and drain trays. They are much better then store bought systems. Hell I could stand in mine to adjust the lights.
Way back in the day before going back to soil.
Was way poor back them check out plants couldn't even get pots there in dixie cups.
