the day has begun.. jamarcus russel went #1 to oakland.. suprise of the day is that we are at pick 11 and brady quinn is still avaliable.. dallas is trying to trade up to get him right now.. thatd be nice

another shock.. detriot drafts another WR with calvin johnson.. wtf.

minnesota snatch adrain petterson
ted ginn jr. goes down to miami
houston takes amobe okeyi (sp)

Drafting Calvin Johnson isn't really a surprise, if they didn't trade that's what most people expected they would do. He's the highest rated player in the draft.

Now Miami taking Ted Ginn is retarded, I just don't understand that one.

why would detriot take him? they have drafted wr's with their first pick pretty much every year.. why not go after a joe thomas who was taken by cleveland with the 3rd overall... they dont need more wr's they need a 2ndary, a QB, and an O-line.. stupid stupid move.

ted ginn in miami might actually be a good fit though, im still kinda unsure about it, he went much higher than he should have IMO, but their system might be a good fit.

wow, i like what buffalo just did.. they just took marshawn lynch.. not a top priority position for buffalo IMO but Lynch reminds me of a frank gore.. very interesting pick

still a lot of good players out there.

He's honestly just too good. Kind of like Reggie Bush, NO didn't need a running back, but you just don't let a special player like that slide.

i guess, but NO hadnt drafted a WR in the first 1-4 picks every year for what, 4 years now?

i think they should have taken thomas at OT or even Brady Quinn at QB

well at 16, GB just took at DT.. that puts Dallas at 22 with a very good shot at Quinn or Leon Hall, 2 guys projected in the top 8..

i dont see Jax, Cincy, Ten, Giants, or Denver taking Quinn before dallas gets to pick, the only worry is someone trading up to get him.

Come on, you thought the Cowboys were gonna take Quinn? I think the Browns made out pretty well here.

why wouldnt they take quinn? romo has 1 year left and we dont know how he will play under wade phillips.. very bad trade down for the cowboys.. great move by the browns.. getting both a OT and Quinn in round 1

we get browns round 2 pick.. 3rd overall and their #1 next year

Doesn't sound like a bad move to me. If Romo doesn't work out (he only has one year left because he decided not to sign a longer extension) then they can take a QB next year, probably be a top ten pick, too. And if Romo turns out fine, then you grab something else. Seems like a decent move to me.

idk, i guess as a cowboys fan i saw room for improvement and i think jerry missed out on a good opportunity, i think we should have gotten more out of the trade.

now we dont get a pick until the 2nd round and we are losing valuable players..

maybe we can land ourselves some help on O-line or a WR like a dwayne jarett

Oh yeaaaaah, I remember them saying something about "trading with their division rivals", but I'm not watching anymore. Switched to the Yankees/Red Sox game.

yeah, its getting pretty dry and boring now.. ill probably just wait until monday and review everything instead of spending 2 days watching the shit.

ive been very impressed with both the browns, 49er's and Arizona again this year in the draft

couple notable round 2 moves

Cincy takes Kenny Irons, RB from Auburn, great move for them.
Detriot gets QB help with Drew Stanton
Miami take QB John Beck from BYU

That's why both Detroit and Miami passed on Quinn.

I don't know if Kenny Irons is a "great" move, ever heard of Rudi Johnson? I'm not saying it's a bad pick, but it doesn't really seem like some genius GM decision, at least not at this point in time.
