Millions of tax dollars going to waist. America is in debt and at war. At war with itself! One nation should stand Strong. The American government is making you pay to put people who are not harming anyone in jails with murderers and rapists. A person who sells magic mushrooms or cocaine can get the same or worse charges than someone who killed someone. All of the cost to hunt down and catch drug users and drug dealers is coming out of your pockets. If drugs were legal they could be taxed so not only would that be less money coming out of your pocket to catch drug users, but the debt that America is in would be re payed due to taxes payed on these drugs.
There would also be less violence, less gang activity, and less murder. These are all some of the results of drugs being illegal. If drugs were legal they would have no turf to kill each other over. They would be out priced by the local 711 or connoco or quick trip. You never see liquor stores or drug stores shooting each other for territory. If drugs were legal there would be less risk of it being in the hands of minors. America should hit gang violence hard and get rid of it by eliminating the cause. Many deaths and overdoses could be avoided by the legalization of drugs. Drugs could have potency labels and they wouldn't have to worry about how much of a mixture is cocaine and how much is something cut into the cocaine.
These are some of the many reasons America would be better off re legalizing dregs for personal use.
