 Salvia - Recurring Experiences?

After around maybe twenty-five plus ventures into the realm of Salvia, I've found that nearly every time I experience one of two or three very similar effects.
On lower doses I find that my vision is dissected by an overwhelming zig-zag -- almost zipper-like -- pattern. Usually that pattern bleeds into my other senses leading me to believe that my body has been separated to conform to the breaks in the aforementioned pattern. It's pretty uncomfortable, but still rather interesting to say the least.
At higher doses I often become part of some immense clock-work mechanism -- a colored cog or gear in a sea of black. All sense of humanity slips away, leaving only my ego and self-preservation instinct intact. Most times I get the feeling that somehow I'm throwing the rest of the mechanism off (which, I suppose is indicative of some internal emotional conflict), either by not moving in sync with it or by simply questioning its purpose.
Aside from a few odd closed-eye experiences and a rather inspiring touch with some unknown supreme sentience, my brushes with Salvia are relatively invariable. It can be frustrating at times to always visit the same vistas, but it seems unavoidable as changes in setting don't seem to help, which leads me to think that perhaps Salvia is simply a key or portal to alternate space (I'm aware that this isn't really a new idea  ).
So I'm curious to know if anyone else has any recurring themes? Would love to hear about 'em.

anyway, the clock-work mechanism and the zipper-like pattern are pretty similar to what my buddy was describing.
