 Worse Ciggs or Weed

Ok so i was talking to a fellow pot head of mine who smokes cigarretes and weed, i only smoke weed out of those two no ciggs, but in the middle of class we were conversing about which is worse. Now he said tht weed is far more worse than ciggs and i was taken aback by this statement. I said okay how many deaths are frm ciggs compared to deaths on weed, weeds been around for over 10,000 yrs and not one death buut ciggs, there are more ppl dying frm ciggs than there are public trashcans in the whole nation. But he was actually shaking frm being so pissed off tht i thot ciggs were worse. He said "are u kidding me the only reason y cigarettes have more deaths is cause most ppl who smoke ciggs also smoke weed so weed is mostly accountable for the deaths. I definitly think tht weed is far less harmless than cigarettes (by a loonnnnnggggggg shot). All those chemicals they put in cigarettes and everything. But he insisted tht he was right. I mentioned how THC has cancer killing agents and combats cancer. Sheeesh some pot head he is....her my precious buds feelings with all this negativity  I had most my info. from a very good site on scientifically proven marijuana facts.....www.marijuanafacts.com <~~~~real good site on this subject u should check it out.

Yeah, he's definately got it backwards (your friend that is)... there was a recent study shown on TV fairly recently, proving that cannabis is actually beneficial to the lungs if you already smoke cigarettes. Cigarettes mutate cells in the lungs, which can cause cancer, while pot helps kill off these deteriorating cells before they can turn cancerous. Pretty neat, huh?

THC is way worse for you then nicotine.... the fact that people smoke cigarettes in packs makes it bad. In fact if you smoked as much weed as cigs, you will not look like a healthy person. The smoke from weed has much more tar then cigs.
But weed is not as worse for you since you don't smoke as much..
And yeah your friend is a retarded.

I used to smoke weed daily and I still do smoke cigarettes,I can honestly say that I do not know what is worse,its a difficult comparison due to the bad they do being on two completely different levels
If the discussion is about which is worse for you helthwise I would say cigarettes for the win all the way,they kill you and thats the flat out truth,I don't think very many people die from smoking marijuana and if they did you hit it on the head when you said that cigarettes would get blames seeing as everyone who smokes usually smokes both
Marijuana is harmful in a much less obvious but more sinister way,I see it as not so much health damaging but more life damaging,sure its not like a meth or heroin habit that starts ruining you as soon as you become a user but(And I know there are people who wont agree with this) it does slowly little by little suck all your motivation away until you just....well,you just aren't you anymore.I do not smoke weed and haven't in yrs and I don't see myself as doing it anytime soon either.Personally I'm against it,some people can get away with smoking it daily and still maintain a job and family and everything but that still doesn't mean that they haven't been chanced by it and it is never in a good way but no one notices it cause it happens over such a long period of time,in the very least it is just as scummy a habit as smoking cigarettes and smells just as gross(To me)
I feel that mushrooms and a few other drugs actually make you smarter and alter your perceptions in beneficial ways,I wouldn't put weed in this category at all

Weed does contain 4 times as much tar than cigarettes, but I remember hearing something about one of the main sources for that statement comes from Paris, where apparently most of the subjects smoke schwag. I can see there being 4 times as much tar in schwag. As well, you do have to keep in mind that most people smoke less marijuana than they smoke cigarettes. I don't know anyone who smokes 20 joints a day, but a pack a day is a common thing. I have heard studies that say bud doesn't cause lung cancer, or even prevents it, but I think that is mostly bullshit as well. You can make a study say anything you want, but I tend to believe that smoking, in any form, cannot be good for your lungs.

some of the stoners i know are also the healthiest looking people I know- that is, not comparing it to people who hit the gym all the time like it's a stripclub. the reason why they're healthy is this- munchies.
when you get the munchies and choose to stuff it down with smart, healthy food, and do it almost every day, i believe the benefit can truly outdo whatever damage it's doing to you wherever else. when i get munchies i make sure i have a lot of sushi, cereals and fruits. sushi especially (im asian like that)

I'm always trying to stay away from junk food of any kind and I don't smoke cigs either. But I sure like to smoke a lot of pot.

There are approx. 10 million regular users of marijuana in the United States, and 22.6 million cigarette smokers. Even if one were to assume that these groups overlapped completely, which many including myself would argue is not the case, those supporting the claim of marijuana's deadliness would still be at a loss to explain the fact that cigarettes are responsible for 440,000 deaths yearly, while marijuana alone has never caused a direct death through overdose.
Granted, overdose death and health effects related to long-term use are two different things. But, even if someone smokes cannabis regularly and heavily, the damage to their air passages will likely clear up as soon as the reduce or cease using.
Cannabis is a high class escort, cigarettes are a skeezy whore you pick up at the bus station and pay in change.

I'm sorry, but that's the biggest load of crap I've read today. It may have happened to you, but it doesn't mean it WILL happen to every single pot smoker. Overuse of anything can sap your will to do anything.
You seem to think that people don't change at all if they don't touch drugs. People do change, in sober life without drugs. It's a fact of life. As people get older, they change.

Tar is a general term. It is not cancerous like the Tar from Ciggerattes. Studies have shown that people who smoke weed and smoke ciggerattes live 8-10 years longer than ciggeratte smokers who don't. The lung expansion actually helps clear some of the ciggeratte residue. I dont there has every been a documented case of cancer or brain damage from THC. You friend is retarted.

First off you friend is a dumb shit, which I gather he is trying to sound cool and informed but actually like I said above a dumb shit.
I dont think marijuana has been around for 10,000 years (Perhaps you just did a little exageration) but its been around a while and no one has died from smoking marijuana yet as we know of.
where as more like 20 somthing million smoke tobacco and many have died in the U.S alone. Not to mention many other "3rd world countries" where young kids are selling ciggs and smoking them at age 5.
Next time this argument comes up ask him where he get his fact's... then pull out this little card, ask him if he knew that besides the obvious 4,000 chems in ciggs, tell him that there is know way in hell marijuana can be worse for you then ciggs because marijuana dose not contain platonium 22 ( I cant remember the proper spelling ) which is indeed radioactive.
Plus, sure joints contain more tar then ciggerates ...but there are healthier option's like vaporizers, bongs, brownies, endless choices.
Noone knows why cigg companys want to kill people but its somthing they are doing, and you've got to realize this.... marijuana actually has health benifits, ciggs have none... they dont do anything besides make you light headed and cloudy for a minute or so, there is a reason for medical marijuana, let your friend ponder that around for a while.

I smoke weed once or twice a day, and I can run a 5 minute mile and a 90 minute half marathon. I've never had any illness aside from chicken pox (age 5) and an ear infection (age 9).
Find me someone who smokes cigarettes every day that can say that.
