question about potency of mycelium growing on my shrooms

So some of my mushrooms have a lot of mycelium growing on them, as in they're 3 times as wide at the bottow because of it. What I'm trying to figure out is, if I have an eighth of dried mushrooms that are covered in mycelium, are they as potent as an eighth of mushrooms without the mycelium?

The entire fruit is mycelium, so the fuzz at the base is the exact same thing as the rest of the fruiting body. That's why we can clone fruits. If you doubt this, look at the two pictures below, taken five days apart and tell me what is fruit and what is mycelium. RR

Maybe they meant when the grow is still in its mycelium colonising phase. When the spores are germinating and colonising, that's the time when contaminations still have free media to set up on. Once the psilocybe mycelium has taken over, it's much harder for contaminations to get started on the media. So by the fruiting stage, virtually all of the media will be covered in mycelium and quite resistant to contamination. But the two are the same thing, just at different stages of development.
Absolutely excellent photos as always RR! The mycelium looks like AAA quilted maple.
