    #6629540 - 03/02/07 10:37 PM (6 years, 3 months ago)

OK well I'm going to try this"any tips"
A) 1 liter water
B) 250gr white sugar
C) 5ml liquid 575 plant-food(is this any liquid plant-food)
D) dried bakers yeast (7gr)

1) place 1 liter of water,250gr white sugar,5ml liquid plant-food into a 2L bottle "or 2 100 ml bottles".
2) stir in dried bakers yeast (7gr)
3) place a cover loosely over the bottle "or you will blow your self out the window" and sit in dark cool place until fermenting has stopped and the yeast has settled to the bottom.
4) pore in the sweet wine not to get any yeast inside in the wok still
5) boil
6) check% and bottle until use
7) flavorer
8) DRINK

What the fuck is up w/ this recipe?

Where did you find it?

I would not drink anything that comes out.

I know that this is an older post, but I had to put in a few words here.
This set-up is very dangerous to start with. I have seen a kitchen blown up this way. There is no seal around the boiler, thus, ethanol vapours are going to escape. Hot ethanol to boot. This has a very low flash point. Any spark or open flame, eg., lighting a doob, will fire these vapours.
Another flaw in this, is that you are collecting right in the boiler. If this container is in contact with the boiler, it will overheat and explode.
too boot, there is no way to get "cuts" from this, so you are also going to be consuming methanol and other nasties that you would be seperating with a good still design. These can mess you up and even kill in the extreme.
also, this is only going to give you a 100-300 ml of low % alcohol. You would have to repeat the procedure 5 or 6 times to get a reasonably pure, or at least as pure as you would get with this, but keep in mind that you would be working with ever increasing purity of ethanol, making an accident ever more likely.
You would also be increasing the purity of the methanol also. Bad.
A pot still is so easy to build it's foolish to play with something like this.

hmmm your tek could be a lot more detailed

But no.

Forget about the whole wash. What you should do is buy a packet of turbo yeast which will cost you only a few dollars, and which contains all you need to convert 6kg sugar into 25 liters of 14% alcohol in a few days time.

Forget getting creative with wash, just buy a Turbo Yeast package for instantaneous high quality results.

When you got the fermented wash, I have TEKs out here in this forum how to turn it into REAL absinthe with herbs and a wok still.

Don't try to simplify my TEK because I strip things down to the bare essentials - simpler as that and it wont work
