Holy shit that was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. My roommates came in to ask me wtf i was laughing about.
The good part is the squirrel did it to himself. Not some drunken frat boys that fed it beer or anything. lololololol.

That's pretty damn funny, heh probably a good example of why being drunk is detrimental to a squirrels survival. Now find me videos of other animals wrecked, like a frog eating magic mushrooms or something. There's bound to be more videos out there somewhere.

Sad really... this accompanied with the monkeys using weapons thread in sci & tech really shows us how much impact we've had on the world.
Its as bad as those videos you stumble across on youtube where they have children (less than 14) on drugs

Did you even watch the video? The squirrel ate a fermenting pumpkin. There's animals in Africa that eat fruit that's fallen out of trees and fermented and they get drunk on it. It's actually a normal part of their eco-system.
It's not like someone drugged the squirrel

Yeah, it's a real sad fact when humans impact animals, because humans are completely unnatural things and everything.
Not to mention this really had nothing to do with human interaction (unless you're trying to say if it weren't for people that pumpkin wouldn't have been there blah blah blah.)
What a stupid comment.

It was me, man.
I forcefed that squirrel Jim Beam.
And I gave those chimps AK47s.

Heh. Sorry I'm rather blazed as it stands. I didn't realise it ate fermented fruit.

Humans; although we are mammals (i.e hair / warm blooded etc) we are not animals. We are completely different.
If it came down to it and 1 of was to be placed in a jungle with nothing except our birthday suit we sure wouldn't last very long.
I do agree with evolution, and that we were once animals, I don't deny it. But our way of life, our traits .. such as tarmacing everything and destroying natural resources (not maintaining a balance like happens in a natural eco-system) is what separates us..
I hate to sound corny and quote shit from the matrix.. but we really are like a virus upon this planet these days.
But these are just my stoned ramblings. They probably won't make that much sense

Of course we wouldn't survive, because we weren't brought up to survive in those situations. However, there are plenty of people who do survive like that with no problem, those people are not more "animalistic", for lack of a better term, than what we conceive as normal human beings.
Let me ask you this. If someday... I don't know... fucking deer became more "civilized" than humans, do you think they would be a virus?
I really don't see what is unnatural about how we've progressed, and I don't think I ever will. It kind of bothers me when other people suggest what we do is unnatural and the rest of the animal kingdom is natural.

I guess it really depends on what you mean by civilized.
If you mean they become more intellectually capable then no, but then if they started to use their intellect as a tool to rape the earth then yes.
If we all lived a sustainable lifestyle I would feel that we were not making a damaging impact on nature.

Do a little search on "Feral Children" and tell me again that these kids aren't more "animalistic" than a normal person.
