 Am I the only one that thinks the Greatful Dead suck bad?

I mean it's fine if you like them and all but they have zilcho appeal to me. The wierd thing is I like Phish but to me they sound different.

I don't like them at all, really. It's just not my bag. I'm more into compositional stuff, jam bands tend to lack a certain something... Like, it has a great sound texture but I dunno

Listen to the song "Ripple". If you cant find a deep appreciation for that song, then you have never truly relaxed or know what it is like to relax.
on a side topic, I am still confused by Neil Youngs fame. I have yet to find an entrance into his music, a perspective to appreciate it from. I just dont get it.
but back to the dead..... yeah, go lay in the grass on a nice sunny day, and listen to that song. There is a good place to begin to be grateful.

yeah...I've never really liked em all that much either

This happens on a regular basis and I don't understand the motivation for people making such a post.
Instead of bashing a band (of which there are many fans of on this board) you don't like why not praise a band you do, or think people might not be aware of.
It would be like me making a posting a post saying I don't like eating cold egg - I accept that some people do, so to criticise it in public is an empty gesture.

Just because someone doesn't appreciate a style of music doesn't mean he can't relax.

I got a bunch of friends that listen to pretty much nothing but GD. It's cool for a while or on a long trip. But i like my own weird shit. I like weird music with funny or odd lyrics. I like to much music to just listen to GD. Don't get me wrong when i was 21 i listened to shit tones of GD. My tape collection is huge, and there music is never the same twice. If you like jazz, blues, rock, and so on, you will find the Dead pretty damn cool. Musically speaking.
