i just made the same one about a month ago it works great and didnt cost nearly as much as the pre made.
they are easy to change and i also bought some high quality carbon in bulk from a local place , they use it for BIG air cleaners.
i have enough carbon for a life time. i also can use it in all my fish tanks!!!
