Fuck .. you know... I saw a few episodes of Colbert that I liked more the the Daily show. I was stunned. Since then I like them both about the same.
But Stephen is a comedic genius... I mean to take something you don't like and "become it" in order to attack it, thats pretty clever. He is the satire king IMHO.

Yeah there was another thread a while back where I said I couldn't figure out what I like about Jon Stewart...
Another member graciously pointed out...."lets make fun of republicans and make stupid face afterwards." or something along those lines.
I can have a laugh at his show but in reality...I fucking hate the daily show.

I truly don't understand why anyone could, it's hilarious, and it's IMO a very important part of where culture is heading. He got the show Crossfire canceled. And he holds the media, and politicians (in BOTH parties) to account.
He's a fucking hero IMO man.

I didn't say anything about his crediblity. I can't put it into word. I just can't stand those shows...colbert included... But I would watch him over Jon Stewart.
I guess it boils down to me not wanting to hear their opinion. I would rather hear just the facts to make up my own opinion about it. I don't need all the other bullshit.
Prime example why... I dunno... Just not my thing.

i agree.. its a great source of news.. it keeps me current with whats going on, and keeps it in terms that i understand and shows how it applies to me.
