well this is what i have been calling them(due to not knowing what they are). well i don't have a cam on me but i was i drew a hopefully detailed picture of these 'puffs'
A>white and soft to touch(when touched it left my finger print on the bulb)also a dull colour B>nicotine stained colour to blackish brown(dull) C> a very glazed nicotine stained colour and hard to the touch D> just the root(or what u call it in mycology?) system location>in dirt under trees afters 9days of continuous rain well i hope this helps you i no they wont be active but if there edible i wouldn't mind cooking some up also my mate had some mush rooms that looked the same as Lepiota lutea but instead these ones were white. is it possible that they are Lepiota lutea but just no colour?

Ummm.... I know this is not what you are suggesting, but your description and (lovely!)drawing lead me to consider a young Ganoderma perhaps? The part labeled A might be the porous tissue..... The "very glazed" description is what makes me consider Ganoderma.

Or maybe it IS a puff ball mushroom. Not sure yet.

Also, the finger print on the bulb.... The porous material of Ganodermas is very prone to markings, in fact, one species (G. applanatum) is called the "Artists' Conk" because people often scrape the pore surface to etch a picture.

I'm not sure if you actually have a ganoderma species there, or even another genus of shelf mushroom. Try to provide a better description; the description you provided would match actual puffballs as well as some shelf mushrooms and a host of other mushroom species in an immature stage.

shroom king - Ganodermas are medicinal mushrooms, usually ground into a powder and used for tea or capsulated as a supplement.
However I must warn you, unless you are more than 100% SURE they are what you suspect, I would just keep it for decoration or future reference. Wouldn't want you to get posioned.
