i think rage is sooo much better than audioslave, but not because of chris cornell overshadowing them. i just think that all 4 of them aren't up to snuff anymore. tom morello's guitar work is disapointing to say the least. also, i feel i have to say that rage's drummer has never been all that great. he just plays simple beats which works well for rage's rap based sound. i dunno, i think he's not all that amazing. he just does what fits for the music.

a rage reunion is awesome because they'll play all their best songs from when they had real passion, and they rocked. hopefully they won't play much from their last two (imo) garbage albums.

btw, soundgarden > rage > audioslave

I didn't say I didn't want to read this thread. Nobody is sitting behind me with a gun forcing me to post in it either. I also wasn't aware that I had to get one's permission to post.

IMO, rappers (which is what he essentially is) have no talent when it comes to vocals. Sure his lyrics might be powerful but maybe if he could SING then he would be better off with the band. His style is just distasteful and if I wanted to hear some high pitched bitchy rapper voice, I'd listen to Eminem or some other BS.

Audioslave is better because they finally have a singer with a powerful, eccentrically robust voice. I must agree that Audioslave's newest CD really isn't as good as it was hyped up to be. However, there is still some good stuff on there. Their first CD was best IMO.

So you base your taste of music on who's playing on the radio? If you hear a band on the radio who sounds close to your favorite band, you must throw away all those CDs. I don't see what being in the radio has to do with talent.

Tool is mainstream rock now. I don't hear anyone hating on them for being on the radio. Sounds like they're "Selling out" to me.
