Anyone knows whats the deal with weed in asutralia now days?

NSW and Queensland? I remember my friend was saying something if u get caght with weed they send you to jail for few months.

Then i remember on http://www.webehigh.com in syendey they have this:

Sydney Smoking tolerance level [1= very illegal 5=virtually legal]: 4.5

Nimbin Smoking tolerance level [1= very illegal 5=virtually legal]: 3.5

Nimbins rating lower than sydneys what the hell???

What the hell is infringement notice ???


Sydney:
The police have introduced a "caution" system where first-time offenders caught with small amounts are given a formal police caution and let go without being prosecuted.

Can anyone cofirm this?
