Emo is just another way to be "alternative" as a teen. Except instead of where goth and punk, in the past, were really somewhat alternative, emo has been completely embraced by pop/mainstream culture and is fully supported by MTV and Hot Topic and whatnot. I think it is pretty lame because it is such an obvious trend with such specific rules and its such a part of pop culture. Although I must admit, some of those (of legal age) emo types are pretty hot! O.o

I was more or less responding to the one dude who said, "emo" means "emotional". And you weren't criticizing, it's the people who are saying "Emos are like, people who cut. Their music blows." and other cliches.

but damn, some of them emo girls I would quite literally shag the shit out of them.
I find emo girls tend to be _beautiful_ (well of course you get your ugly ones and your fat ones but theres a decent amount of hot ones)

I dunno, some of the makeup looks quite provocative.

The emo girls around here make me want to punch them in the tits. Since My Chemical Romance are playing at a festival here today, for the last few months there has been a steadily growing population of the fuckers. Everyday on the way home I see groups of them hanging around being stupid and acting gay.
To me, the current emo fad is an even lower version of mall goths. Never mind, cause in a year most of them will have either moved on or found another cliche to latch onto.

From my observation, emo is a counter-culture of a alternative form of free love, emo men act the way they do and dress that way to get a lot of pussy and act like a general metrosexual.
Its just the general cycle of mass human reproduction cycle, remember the 1850s free love movement, 1920s, 1950s-60s.
