 tripping on shrooms and smokin weed before surgery?

Decemeber 22 or next friday I will getting surgery done to my nose and sinuses for a deviated septum.
Well i broke my foot last night and the pain killers they gave me are making me sick so i have been smoking a bowl here and there to reduce the pain.
My older bro who is majoring in biology told me to lay off the weed b/c it can make your blood thinner is this true?
also i want to trip shrooms with some of my friends that are rolling a few nights before surgery should i be ok? i dont see how shrooms affect your physical health.

well it shouldnt be that much of a problem in my opinion, but for safety's sake, talk to your doctor about it. They are bound to keep your information confidential. And since you are going to be given other drugs to put you under, and for medications after the surgery, I would think that its very important to talk to your doctor to make sure that you are safe with whatever drugs they give you.

Weed lowers your blood pressure by 30%. I never heard of it thinning your blood. I only heard that about alcohol.

I have never heard of that, do you have a link?
My B.P. has taken a marked increase since last summer and I don't know why. maybe I should put it to a scientific test and start smoking again.
