Ok so my cake was 100% colonized, when i went to case it, the little one had a fingernail size of what looks like greenish mold? (It looks almost a dark 1960's fugly green)
So i cut into the cake and between mycelium that is the overall colour of the cake.
I took a sample and looked under my kiddie microscope and did not see any "cellular" forms. (500x)
Could the brown wheat just have DEcayed? Im curious to what and why it looks this way.

Did you swab it with a little H202 do see if the color rubbed off onto the swab?

From what I understand, the greenish color that trich gives off is actually its spores, and the real contamination is beneath that.
Green is usually a bad sign, and if it rubs off that is even worse... otherwise it could just be bruising. Get that bitch away from other cakes and your growing area in general, its probably lost.

Man we really gotta find the ultimate killer for green mold, That would be a One of those great noble prize winning discoveries. yeh just throw the bitch out, or quarantine it in it's own fruiting chamber, a cheap ass chamber would be a 2 liter plastic bottle cut from the top throw some moist perlite for humidity and throw the diseased fucker in there, if you get any growth just make sure you scrap away any contams from the fruit before you eat. I have dosed many a times from contam fruits and I never felt sick or anything, only thing I noticed is the potentcy is crap.

Also dunking with some peroxide, roll in verm, before you quarantine is also a good idea.

Yeah man, I put it in it's own container.
I dunno, Ive seen MANY pics of green looking mold/fung, and this does not look anything of what ive seen.
Like I said, the dark green colour permeates throught the substrate, only when cut (in very small slices in the mycelium).I swear I think its rot. But isn't rot in theory a fungi growing?

It's as simple as this. No matter what it is (sounds like green mold though) if the color isn't white it's bad.

Green mold is Trichoderma, not Penicillium, which is blue and usually forms perfect circles. It's caused by improper sterile procedure when it forms in colonizing brf/grains, and it's caused by improper air exchange when it forms in casing layers.
Dunking in peroxide will not kill Trichoderma
You need to immediately toss out any jars you find with green mold. If you cut into it, all you do is release billions of spores that are going to contaminate your next crops. There is nothing to look at under a microscope. The green is the spores from the trichoderma mycelium which is also white, like mushroom mycelium.
As said, If your jar had green mold when you birthed it, either your inoculation procedure was poor, or your filter didn't do its job. If the green was right at the top by the verm barrier(assuming pf tek) it got in that way. If it grew from an inoculation point, it got in that way. Remember, trich spores are in the air everywhere, especially your house now. Good luck.
