Has any testing been done with different ratios of turbinado to water, or is the 5g to 220ml considered optimal?

I've tried the old 4g/100ml water, and it didn't perform very well at all. The water was very colored, like a carmelized honey LC.
5g/220ml seems to be just about right... still leaves the water clear enough that you can see through it easily, and the mycelium growth is great. A little higher concentration probably wouldn't hurt, but there is certainly a point where it hurts more than helps.

If you add it to boiling water.
(nuked in a jar)
To dissolve the crystals.
Then, PC slightly less time.
(even @ 10 psi)
The solution should be clearer.

ok so the lid on this doesn't need no holes or anything right? I wanna try this and I never made lc. .
what would I have to do to introduce the spores into it. Can I punture holes after pcing it?
also instead of a pc can I boil it in a pot?
