I remember very clearly that we a suppose to "seperate church and state" and clearly every speech he gives he makes sure he includes his religious beliefs in his agenda.

depends how you define worst. there have been some shitty people in office. it's easy to label bush as the worst since we've lived through his mess. how about the "indian killer" president or buchanan. he said and did some pretty retarded things in office too....

"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." -H.L. Mencken (1880-1956)

They are simply ignorant about it and don't know what happened or what is happening. They think that prices go up rather than than dollars go down." - John Kenneth Galbraith

politics becomes more and more entertainment, and the president in his position becomes more and more the entertainer, the clown in the spotlight if you will.
it all just becomes a spectator sport and that's very dangerous i believe,
because that leaves it more and more up to the producers to write the script and set up the stage,
and not so much up to us.

Ok, there are plenty of legitimate criticisms, but this is just dumb. The First Amendment in no way prohibits the president or any member of government from making religious references in their speeches(in fact, it protects such speech). The "wall of separation" to which Jefferson referred is about legislation, not public speeches.

Yes. That's a good point.
I just don't think it is appropriate for a man that speaks for a nation with many races/background/religion/spiritual belief. I think they are way more important things to address than to speaking of religious belief.

This is what I've always believed - that the man as President represents the community as a whole. I thank you greatly for that quote.

Not sure about worst, but definitely the most idiotic. What is truly a testament to this country is that people in certain regions continue to support the moron.
