i dont have any pictures of my guitars right now, and my cameras are broken.

i'm actually getting a mandolin. i've been doing some serious searching for some over the last few days. i'd love to get an F style, but they may be too expensive for me right now. i'm going to try to buy this one if the price doesnt get much higher:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=012&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=220059438499&rd=1&rd=1

or i'm going to go with this A style:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=320060404995&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=011

you wanna see some sick mandolin playing, check this out:

another really cool clip coda.

i've done a lot of reading about mandolins lately as well, and a lot of people say they got their mandolin after playing their guitar for a little while, and their main instrument is now the mandolin. apparently it's a lot of fun to play. don't take it from me though, the most i've ever done with a mandolin was fiddle around with them in music shops. can't wait to actually start learning it.

if you're interested in playing mandolin, but not really sure if it's something you'd want to stick with, you can get one for 50 bucks shipped on musiciansfriend.com

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Rogue-RM100A-AStyle-Mandolin?sku=519193

reading the reviews on it, it sounds like a great purchase for people who aren't sure if they really want to get into playing one. can't really go wrong for only 50 bucks

ah, musicians friend, how i love thee. I used to order shit from them all the time when i played the bass. That's another instrument i wish i would have kept up with. Ive met a lot of people who play guitar and other instruments, i'd love to be able to play with them. I'll keep that in mind after xmas, i definitely don't mind paying 50 bucks for one

Hell yeah the mandolin is tons of fun to play. I wish I would play it more but my guitar skills started to suffer from the mandolin so I stopped playing it really. I played the hell out of it when I got it and picked up on it very fast. I was considering at the time to just make guitar secondary. But I have noone to play with. That is the hardest thing in the world to find. Most people you run into really don't understand how to jam. That's what I am about is improv and jam. The one guitar player I play with plays lead.

Mac McAnally gave that gave that mandolin to me. For those of you that don't is, he is a country singer/song write. He doesn't make country like on the radio. That shit is terrible. He also is the producer for Jimmy Buffett. He's a hell of a guy. A couple of years ago I got to spend the day with him. My uncle is his manager. Anyway, I was lucky as hell. I was planning on buying an A model but then that came along.
