however great of a read that is, people don't seem to get it - none of the pranksters trusted wolfe, kesey pretty much hated him, and they all thought he was a narc! read phil lesh's recent autobiography for an account within the scene, don't just base your opinion on some upper-class intellectual's interpretation of it

is there any other source but phil lesh? i wonder why they thought that? just an acid dream? if they all thought he was then he probably was.

when was wolfe with the pranksters? acid was still legal and kesey's pot busts (described in electric koolaide acid test) seemed random enough so that i dont think he wasn narc'ed. if he Was a narc then so what... he didn't get anyone in trouble right

In the period where Wolfe was covering the exploits of the dead and others, acid was still legal(beacame illegal january of 1966?)so there's no way he could have gotten anyone into deep doo doo......

Krishna, please dont be silly enough to think I only listen to psy, that's just my choice of music to party to on weekends.

It's also interesting to read the claims that jerry never injected drugs, it's as if the route of administration is somehow worse than the substance, what a ridiculous notion that is.

...and alot of these people chose to party to jam band music. at least that music has some talent happening unlike shitty trance music that is easy to create and isnt even performed.

Like i've said B4 man, musical taste is totally subjective. I wouldn't call astral projection, alien airport, infinity project etc talentless, it's just an entirely different language from conventional instrumentation....

The way i see it it's just a case of live and let live. I found it relatively easy to figure out Page, Hendrix,Garcia etc solos but i wouldn't have a clue what to do with those 2 wheels of steel in EDM. That doesn't mean one genre is "better" than the other, depends on one's perspective. It's all good man, just go for what you know and love

The moral of the song
Is simply that one should never be

For that home across the road.

I like Method Man almost as much as I like the Dead but even if I didn't like the dead I still believe I'd have the right to criticize Wu Tang because despite the music I listen to, Method Man still has his faults (I mean, touch of grey? I hate that fucking song....ok, ok, I'll never hate anythign the RZA touches, but that song is annoying)

Your ignorance to the fact that electronic artists actually do perform live has been noted.

I get your point man, all this:"who's/what's the best" etc is total ficking bullshit. Even amongst traditional guitar players, i've seen page, johnny winter, garcia, gilmore, john mclaughlin, yngwie malmsteen etc, they were all GR8 within their own context....They all played better than i ever could
