I would like to request a new forum if there is any interest in it. During my year on this place I have noticed a lot of issues with peoples cars either breaking down, involved in a wreck, modifying, buying/selling, stereos, etc.....
I was thinking why not have a forum that people can go to and have their questions answered and make threads and people can suggest answers to, to the issues above I have stated.
If someone(Moderator) can tell me a number of peoples agreements that need to be able to support the new Forum, I could have a vote.

Please, lets get as much votes as possible whether you are against it or not. I and others thing it will be a beneficial Forum for those with automobiles, especially during holiday travel.

As someone who's entirely life and livelihood is based on Original antiques and Hotrods and such......i still vote no...
this is a perfect example of that right there^ <-- in reference to ythans post regarding this issue.

Well hopefully, your car wont breakdown, and then no one wants to help you out with free advice in this Web Forum or a Car Forum.....God forbid how Karma finds itself back around to us. I mean that is what you beleive in, right?

I dunno... it's even a struggle just to get people to visit the Outdoors Forum as it is...
I mean I like the idea, but we've got to get our currently low used forums in use as well too, right?

Why the fuck do I need a car forum to ask a bunch of drug users (no offense, I am one) how to fix my car? I have a god damn warranty on it. Even if I didn't this wouldn't be the place to go for advice on fixing something on my engine. I'd go get a damn manual or ask my mechanic brother. I realize not everybody has a mechanic in the family or is motivated enough to get off their ass and read something out of a book. But this isn't the place for fix-it tips for you automobile.
And no, I don't believe in bullshit "karma".

Mechanics don't tell you how to install a sound system... I see where he's coming from. There are customizations you're not gonna learn from a shop, because mostly, they don't want to tell you or don't care to.

Well not everyone knows about upgrading cars or are really biased. And before you go out saying that someone who uses drugs unreliable about auto mechanics, you may want to ask some people what they do for hobbies. I am not a certified auto mechanic nor do I run a shop....but I can almost guarantee you that I know more about cars than any service tech that works at your dealership where you have you car at and anyone you have brought your car to as well.
No offensive intended, but don't judge someone's ability to fix cars when there are people on here, like myself who major in very intellectual fields such as Chemistry, engineering, and so forth...

The fact still stands that there are already countless forums on the web dedicated to car modification, car sound systems, and auto repair. The Shroomery does not need a forum devoted to cars.

Well explain the reason behind other forums it has. Mainly it is a point of view discussion going on. So nothing will amount to either side winning.
I knew it was a long shot, but I figured that some people would like it. I know Zippoz has complained on several occassions that he had car problems and if I am not mistaken Cherrybom as well. So I gave it a shot, it is just as hopeful as the Sports Forum we have.

i kinda like the idea.. but only as a subforum at most.. i really doubt the idea will fly though.
i personally would find it useful... although usually i just post in the science board and have decent luck there.

maybe suggest that in WA&F.. i already started a thread about the sports forum.
perhaps it could be a subforum of the sports forum, if that becomes a main forum index.

The dream forum should definitely come before a car forum. Cars have no relation to psychedelics and consciousness. Dreams, however, do.

You don't need to take shrooms to be able to manipulate your dreams. And you might know that if we had a dream forum where people could share that information.
Like I said, dreams have FAR more relevance to consciousness and psychedelics than do automobiles.
