Meditation. Psychedelics can show you the path, but to actually walk that path requires discipline and focus.

I have to agree. I know people who have taken psychedelics that don't seem to have changed at all. You have to want it first.

I'd have to say psychedelics. Neither one guarantees you anything. Whether you meditate daily or take LSD once a week, you might still be the exact same person you were before. But LSD seems more likely to permanently change your perspective on reality and the world, because once you see that perception is consciousness, then as your perception changes permanently so will your consciousness.

in western society, i think most people arent going to come home one day, at one point in their lives, and decide to try meditating. i think most people start with psychedelics, gain the interest, then move on to meditation. it's a 2 part thing. i dont really know if you can say one is more effective than the other. for a lot of people they go hand in hand. for some they only meditate, and others only do psychedelics, and both can change their outlook on everyday life just as much.
