Wrong forum, man.
Try the grocery store maybe?

I'd love to know his thought process that made him post that in here..
They use poppy seeds in baking,, ive never tried growing any so i don't know if they're viable, might be worth a try though unless anyone else says different.
You can probably order them off the internet aswell..
They grow wild everywhere in Britain so i'd never have to buy any..
-------------------- Now i was standing in the corner
i'm searchin for my rizla
i had some marijuana
i needed to get higher
so i went into the corner with my rizla and my ganja
built another spliff until i was totally out my head

dutch blue brand sells pounds for 8$ in the store in a big blue tin with a dutch girl on it. the link above u can get a pound for 6$.
they were 100% viable for me, and grew up to be the white with purple centered gigantheums.

What are the chances that store bought poppy seeds are Papaver Somniferum?

^^^^Based on what?
Store bought seeds are Giganthiums, potency varies with growing conditions. They are of decent genetics - just acclimated to dry areas. The price is outragous though, look around at heath food stores they often sell in bulk/oz.

I think I've heard that they are Gigantheums before. I saw a small spice container (0.8 oz.) for less than a dollar. I purchased it because I only want to grow a few plants in pots and figured that was more than enough seeds for what I needed. I hope they work out for me. If they are not the best quality, I will still get something out of it, not to mention a little experience.

Holy shit, I stand corrected! I will most definitely have to try growing them from the spice aisle!
