 Crazy idea I had while high...

Doesn't Hydogen Peroxide (H2O2) turn into water (H2O) when sitting in direct sunlight? Don't PF Cakes need oxygen? What happens to the extra O when H2O2 becomes H2O?
If I were to draw peroxide into a sterile syringe, then sit it out in the sunlight, would the extra O just become gaseous, and push the H2O out the hole?
Would it leave me with a syringe full of sterile oxygen to inject into stalled PF Cakes?
Please don't flame me if this is stupid... I'm a computer programmer, not a scientist.

yea it is nice to know.
On a job ap. it said to put all language you knew besides, they got upset since i out down different programing languages. They said "they are looking for Spanish speaking people not star Trekkie's"

Since oxygen is diatomic, the extra oxygen molecule formed would bond with other oxygen molecules and form O2. the amount of O2 your goign to get is going to be very very small. not enough to make any difference i would think. so yeah what babo said

I could have said that but what fun wold have that been. And even if it did work you would be resticted to LC's since spores can not germinate in h2o2
Last but not least PF cakes as all cakes and jars don't need to be oxidised, They need gas exchange. That'a what there verm layer is fir. Keep out contams and alow CO2 build up to escape. You want FAE / oxygen when fruiting as one of the three points to pin

key point, right on - your concern is more with a lack of CO2 than an introduction of O2...

hehehe c++ haven't seen or messed with that in some years. Used to be fun messing with x86/z80 assembly as well...oooh and the directx api.

I've got a plan to do some experiments with oxygen pumping myself... but you'd need much larger volumes than a syringe full!
PS: I am posting intermittently while programming a game.

On a completely differnet/random note, I read in one of my physics books that labs sometime use nitrogen to displace the oxygen on a work surface where oxidation can occus easily (or some crap like that). Well someone was saying how coffee water works well in the pf cake method posibly b/c of the nitrogen content of the coffee. Doesnt hpoo have a high notrogen content as well? Well as I'm sure some people have realized so far... why not get a bottle of nitrogen gas and literally "fill" the bottles with it every now and then and use it to displace the co2 inside. Perhaps killing two birds with one stone, displace the co2 and give it a source of health??? Accepting all online beatings I might get for saying something so weird. Or is it not weird?

read the section "biological role" at the very least, if not the whole article.
the nitrogen in hpoo, coffee, grains, etc, is in a totally different form than molecular nitrogen (nitrogen gas)... its been "fixed" - meaning its basically a totally different compound, that contains some nitrogen. fixed nitrogen is a building block to amino acids, amino acids are building blocks to proteins, and so on.
lets not forget, the atmosphere is also already 70-something percent nitrogen GAS anyway... there's plenty of it to go around without adding more.
