yea this has been posted before. but its a cool video. i spend entirely too much time looking at myself in the mirror anyways just cause every couple minutes i seem to look different to myself. dont know what thats about

Oh man, count me in for fun with mirrors while tripping.
I swear, back in High School if it weren't for mirrors I probably wouldn't have done as much acid. Everytime I was coming up I'd go in my bathroom and look into my own amazingly dilated pupils. I have light blue eyes and apparently my pupils dilate extra large - like no blue left period. That would always kick my trip in a lot harder.
Then I'd press my hand against the mirror and watch the ripples that played across its surface. One of my favorite 'minor-moderate' visuals was when I pulled my finger back and there was quicksilver stretching back from the mirror too. Of course it went up my wrist and arm and into my body. From there; sweet body trip.
Once while on a really nice 2nd-3rd level mushroom trip at a friend's mushroom party in college I went up to the hostess's parents' bedroom because there were two floor to ceiling length mirrors across from each other in a hall. If you sat just right at an angle you could see yourself in a reflection of a reflection of a reflection a reflection of a reflection... golden rectangle stuff there.

i find that even if i'm not tripping and just stand there staring at the mirror.. . . the same thing starts to happen.. like my face would transform into heaps of different characters, people, animals... . . and eventually if you manage to still your mind long enough. .. you begin to disappear and melt into the surroundings...

Back when I was tripping every couple weeks I had a lot more 'control' over stuff like that. I can relax my mind and occasionally get some visuals, and then there's always the super fun flashback from time to time.
The other day I was talking to my wife in the computer room and all of a sudden sparkling golden flecks of ?energy? started crackling all around her and the immediate area. 
Unfortunately we were talking about something so I didn't focus as much on it as I'd have liked.

I think its more of an artists impression of a 'standard' trip down the mirror...
I try not to trip with the mirror, i prefer to avoid it. On shrooms once i saw a kind of black shadow of myself, or a 'gebeth' (see Ursula LeGuin: Wizard of Earthsea) that was whispering, or jabbering whilst my corporeal form was stock still and silent, and vacant. Weird to say the least. It wasnt too bad and not the only time the mirror has tripped me out, like the vid. But the most unsettling i think.
On another note: I wish i didnt know what i look like.

The blotter I was getting in the late '90 would probably only take one hit to get similar effects. I don't know about contemporary acid because, well, everything I've gotten for years has been total bunk.
It was really common for me to take two hits and see fractalization all over my own body and around in the mirror, auras, impossibly close micro-vision, etc. Good times.
Jackenobi! - That is a great descpription of the ominous dark cloud-like thing that followed me around on a particularly bad, intense mushroom trip. It wasn't just in the mirror though - like everywhere I went this roiling dark cloud would follow nearby. I'd see faces in it and well, they weren't very pleasant. Finally I went and lay down for a half hour to try and chill out and the thing like sat over me and it felt as if incredibly intense heat lamps were searing me all over. Yeah, I stopped doing all drugs for several months after that - hell, I even gave my friends my bud. Freaked me the fuck out!

I've seen some pretty crazy things happen to myself in the mirror on about 3.5-4 grams of really potent mushrooms.
A few less intense visuals in my mirror on acid, a little funnier too.
