I found these old,ate up reishi yesterday evening.I thought the conditions were not good for them.Ernesto didnt bring as much rain as I had hoped.But anyway here they are.
The small one with the rounded cap,stem and bright orange color wasnt grwing from the base of a tree like the rest were.It was growing about 5 feet awat right out of the ground.I am sure there were a few wood chips or something below eye level.
Im going to cut the the bug ridden parts of these off and start drying them.My dehydrator has the heating element taken out.So should I hok it back up and use heat so these wont mold in the dehydrator?Or is there a better way to dry reishi?

Thanks.Here are a few I found last year.
Bottom of same mushroom.
There were slugs and stuff on this one.I almost didnt get it in time.

After cutting and cleaning there wasnt much left from yesterdays finds.
Damn bugs must like them to.
Any drying methods?Should I just put them in the dehydrator with my cubensis?With no heat?
