give them your zip code and they will give you a detailed description of your elected officials. They have developed a grading scale according to voting records and the service is free. might be interesting even if you dont vote to find out how your reps stack up against the majority of our beleifs.

Marc Emery's Vote 2006 Myspace Army
Yes thats right, finally something good has come from myspace! Basically Marc Emery and friends have developed a grading system for the candidates running for the senate and house of reps. You give them your zip and they give you the grades with a detailed description of all parties running. FREE! its free so you have no excuse not to try it. Any and all details on the grading system and anything else can be found HERE
the following is taken from the above link and is just and intro letter: "My name is Marc Emery. I publish Cannabis Culture Magazine.
The US election campaign gets serious after Labor Day.
Contact me here at the myspace_Vote2006_Army page and find out who your Congresspeople are. If you provide me with your zip code, I'll find who your US House of Representative is and who your US Senators are. We'll look at my chart of ten votes (described in this profile), and find out if your US Rep is one of the 265 members of the US House who got a failing grade! If so, we'll tell you who to work for to throw that pot-hating, war mongering, big government bastard out!
If your US Rep. was one of the 94 people out of the 434 Reps who got a B+ or better, then we urge you to work for their re-election.
The big VOTE in on November 7. But we've got to do more than register to vote. We have to, every pro-pot myspace person, join at least one election campaign for NO FEWER THAN 7 days before November 7 and after Labor Day, Sept. 4.
Call up and volunteer and I'm sure they'll have a use for you. I'm going to issue a bulletin for the hundreds of people across American myspace who are getting involved in a campaign (and I'm just getting rolling) that I've networked (as I have with you) and I'll be issuing tips and pointers about working on a campaign as a drug-law reform campaign volunteer. Don't ask or pressure the candidate in any way on issues for at least two weeks after you begin your volunteer stint. That way the candidate and his organization gets confidence in you and then when they know you are an asset, and only then, should you even spend any time on the main issue - marijuana regulation and taxation. And even then it’s subtle. You just say, " I'm enjoying the work on your campaign, Mr./Ms. Candidate, and I hope you'll endorse and vote for drug law reform when you have that opportunity in Washington. " That says plenty. And then you finish the brief encounter and get back to work on the campaign. Useful people get listened to over time. Ours is a campaign of integration.
The strategy of the Myspace Vote 2006 election army is integration into the mainstream. Hundreds, possibly thousands of myspace people all over America are participating in the November 7 US election in a co-ordinated program based on the TEN VOTES survey that will be described below and appears in expanded form in Cannabis Culture Magazine #62 out on newstands September 14. I call this " OPERATION OVERGROW THE BALLOT BOX " and this will begin a transfer of more political weight and influence into young drug law reform myspace activists working on the election front lines. After November 7, all myspace activists are expected to keep a close eye on the voting record of the US Representatives and other elected people who can impact upon the marijuana laws and drug laws.
If you want to get acquainted with pro-reform candidates in your community and state, and the fun and exciting opportunities that await your involvement, just send me a message with your zip code and I'll forward the appraisal of candidates in your community this November election!
