I haven't noticed any problems could you guys please post a tracert? Does it still happen if you change your DNS server to 4.2.2.1?

I was having trouble earlier but it seems to be running smoothly now. The server was timing out here and there for a few seconds - a minute (usually no more than a couple seconds) at a time.

It does do that shit on Firefox quite often. Seems like every couple days the Shroomery has a fainting spell where it acts up and hangs like crazy for a half hour or so. I have an idea why...
Whenever the server senses a shortage of Shroomery supporter dollars it automatically slows down to compensate!

It's still hanging a bit. It's not timing out though. Says "connecting to www.shroomery.org" in the bottom left of the browser, hangs like that for a bit, then goes to "waiting" and loads up.
Here's a tracert log, not sure what the fuck it means though. :
edit: Check your PM's for the tracert logs if you haven't seen them yet Ythan. I didn't want my IP up.

Thanks mattzdope I got the logs. Please let me look into this. Can you guys pinpoint when it started happening or has it been a problem for a while? Note that the board gets unresponsive for a few minutes at 4AM MT each day while we back up the database, but the main site should still load fine. You're not talking about that right?

I had this yesterday - I was getting 50% packet loss between my router and the shroomery. It was congestion in the UK though, nothing to do with your end of things.

It just started happening for me yesterday. It wasn't the usual 6:00am EST lag. I got on around 4:00PM eastern time and it was acting up a bit all through the night. It doesn't seem to be doing it right now.

Nah it's just happening on the forums. I was able to get to the main site fine. For about 5 minutes I couldn't make a connection with the forums at all. It lagged up so I went back to the main site, which loaded fine, and had to sit there about 5 minutes before getting into the forums.

It seems to be running better for me now, what about you?
We did just have a (relatively small) spike in bandwidth, I don't think that would have been the problem but who knows.
I also restarted mySQL on the backend maybe that will help.
