emo is just the new word for "hip" in most circles.

When cool people make fun of other cool people they call them emo, its semi-derogatory... chummy like.

people who arent "cool" in specific circles call other people emo as a purely derogatory term.

I'm with you kaptkid I have no clue what this emo things about, but it seems like I have heard this word 100 times in the last week. Is it kinda like neo-gothic or something. I just realized today how totally out of it I am. And I used to think I was pretty hip. It sucks getting old,...not. :crazy2:

Emo is the new trend. People in this cliche usually dress like retards (wearing suits for example). They will do things for attention like being obnoxious. They will dye their hair bright colors, get weird piercings, wear Converse shoes.

Basically 'Emo' is a mix between 'punk', 'boy bands', and puberty.
