 What can I do?

Last night I went and saw Plant of the Drums. Great show, had an awesome time. So we are walking to the parking lot, getting into my car, and this kid backs into my car. It hit caused slight damage to the front end, nothing major, but still needs to be fixed. I didn't think there was any reason to call the police, so I didn't. I ask the dude to write down his insurance info, name, phone #, address, etc. I gave him my info. too.
So today I go to call his insurance company, they have no record of him. I call his number, it's not his number. He gave me fake info. I'm fucking pissed. I understood it was an accident and was very cool with the guy and he is trying to fuck me!!!! The only real info. I have is his licsence plate number. Is there any way I can get my car fixed, or am I just fucked? What should I do? Call the police?

Just got off the phone with the police dept. They gave me an address and told me to go there and have an officer look up the assholes info for me via his plate number. I really hope I can get back at this dude, it's looking promising. I will give an update when I get back from the station.

yeah you should be able to get ahold of the dude that way fuck him over teach him a lesson for fucking around when a person is tryin to be nice and not call the police

I filed a police report and contacted my insurance agent. If nothing comes of that I have a friend whos brother is a police officer. I will have him run the plates for me and I will take care of it my own way.

He's fucked.. he just got himself into even more trouble by giving you false information. What an idiot.
Good job getting the license plate #, everyone should probably do that when stuff like this happens.
