When Jesus died, he descended into Hell, said "What's up?" to Satan, and then proclaimed that all who were incarcerated there were allowed to leave. He told everyone that his father's rules no longer applied. This was the New Testament. Then of course, Jesus rose again and ascended into Heaven.
The funny thing is, a lot of people chose to stay in hell. Some to serve their master Lucifer, and some because they felt they hadn't been punished enough.
You'd be surprised how many people enjoy being tortured.

There is of course realities in which there is endless suffering. Same as there are realities full of endless pleasure. But look at how life works, the more people fear something the more it comes closer to them. the key is belief. It doesnt matter if that belief is negative or positive.
