I was at an after-school dance in grade 7 when a friend mentioned taking "magical mushrooms". I asked him what they were and he said they were mushrooms that "made you see things" if you ate them. I thought that sounded pretty cool, but I didn't try them for about another 5 years.

I was about 6 or 7 and I had to read the Cub Scouts handbook. In the book, one of the violations of being a Cub/Boyscout, was partaking in illegal drugs or alcohol, and they actually outlined what the drugs were. I remember asking my dad "What's LSD and Mushrooms?" He told me that they made you se things, like spiders crawling up the wall, when they weren't there. It was a good answer, scared me from doing them (for about 10 years), I didn't wanna see no spiders that weren't there!
