Im in the middle of a really interesting book called "LSD - SPIRITUALITY - AND THE CREATIV MIND.
It is based on the research done in the 1950-60's, where 980 people were given LSD (ages ranging from 18-81). Pretty interesting stuff.
Obviously its safe to assume that the govt tossed that idea out the window, but it makes me think. Shrooms are more "mind-trippy" than LSD, and they tend to be more emotional(lets not forget to mention that they have many similar components), so the question is, can shrooms be used as a "truth serum"? Would a tripper admit something he would normally keep to himself? We know that the fungi pushes burried thoughts to the surface for the tripper to deal with...BUT...couldhe be forced to share his thoughts?
I would like to say no.
But its definitly interesting.

here's my two cents... LSD, and any tripping, to an untripped mind, is a VERY exotic and strange place to be. and probably extrememly terrifying if you didn't know what you had been given, you're in a room full of govt suits all breathing down your neck for the "confidential data stored in his subcortex", and unable to move from that spot until you said something.
I'd think a high dose of mushrooms would be less usable like this, but jeeez, if those fuckers gave me 500 mics and started pulling the uncle sam shit, i'd be telling em almost anything to get out of that room.

Many of the people tested were prisoners and drug addicts (who were offered heroin, for example, to participate in the 'study').
Look up the MK-ULTRA project (what we're speaking of). It's some fucked up shit.

You should check out a book titled, Acid Dreams: Cia, LSd and the 60s Rebellion. Tells a lot on how the govt used LSD as a vapor to run tests in subways on people. If you're into all that govt conspiracy stuff, this book is for you. Gives a lot of good insight.

Thats not what i was reffering to in the original post.
In this book, a scientist/psychologist found 930+ people of [free will] to test the substance. Different people from all walks of life, all ages. Definitly very interesting.
As for the "test" that you mentioned in your post. I dont doubt that at all.
Its not what i was talking about, but damn im not surprised. After all, didnt the govt hire the man who INVENTED LSD?

I wasnt aware that LSD was an invention of man but more of a discovery. A great discovery IMO and like all great discoveries is feared by man at first until, eventually, it is accepted and used as the tool that it is.

cia was very interested with LSD. they made it very popular (they sold and gave away TONS!) then made it illegal and almost* impossible to make (resulting in today's impure acid). timothy leary was advised by the CIA. they told him waht to do. leary is supposed to be some "revolutionary" lsd "christ" that everybody was afraid of. THE CIA MADE PPL AFRAID OF THE "THING" THAT IS THE BEST THING INT HE WORLD.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (pure LSD-25, which doesnt exist on the street remember!)
