Can you case BRF cakes after first flush? First flush PIC
    #5639869 - 05/17/06 12:19 AM (7 years, 1 month ago)

Like the title says, can I break up some BRF PF cakes and case them after the first flush?
Or, could I grate them up and spawn them to coir or hpoo?
First flush PIC.

Also, could a cooler FC temp (60-70 F) have caused the smaller shrooms? Almost all the veils were open (even on the small shrooms)

Dude, that is hell of a flush. Did you dunk? I don't know the answer to your question but I had to ask.

Thanks for the compliments and rating on the flush. Dunk and rolled. It took forever to start pinning after dunk/rolling (almost 2 weeks!!!) But it started pinning all over the place so I ended up turning it on its side.

I don't see why not.  Myc is pretty good at recovering, and I believe that even after your first flush, you should still be able to case them.  And spawning to hpoo would provide new nutrients of course.

But why didn't you case at first?  And why not just dunk the cakes?  They seem to have done pretty well.

My overall recommendation, save casing/spawning for the next batch.  Let these cakes live out their lives as they were intended ... cakes.

wow, I just pick my first two cakes and I was proud at how mine turned out but yours are like twice as good, two thumbs up. What strain is that?

Word, I guess i'll leave these as cakes. B+ strain. Although there are quite a few shrooms, I wish I had less, and they were larger. Hopefully this next flush though.

yes you can
I've done it once after having a crapy flush and have been casing ever since... but that looks like you got quite a good flush as it is. Its up to you I guess.
